Santa Monica Building a Completely ‘Green’ Street

They’ve broken ground in Santa Monica, California on a street that planners say will be completely green.

What does that mean?

It means that the street will, among other things, conserve water, protect the ocean from runoff, and have both pedestrian and bicycle paths.

Also, lots of trees will be planted (along with a drip irrigation system), and recycling bins will be everywhere.
