In Debate over Whether Climate Change is Real, Snowboarder Jones Say ‘Yes’

Don’t tell professional backcountry snowboarder Jeremy Jones that climate change isn’t real.

“Our season ends a week earlier than it used to. The glacier we used to land on (in Alaska), we can’t anymore,” Jones recently told a reporter for the Associated Press.

Jones isn’t a scientist. But he knows what he sees, which is why he formed a group called “Protect Our Winters” that has raised money for renewable energy and other “green” projects. The group also has lobbied the US Congress for legislation that would allow the federal government to control how much carbon dioxide gets released into the atmosphere.
