Lafayette College Student Works on How to Make a Sports Stadium Sustainable

Why is Lafayette College student Gregory Allis studying sports stadiums all around the world?

To study how to make a sports stadium “sustainable” and pass the information along to the keepers of Lafayette’s sports facilities.

By its nature, a sports stadium causes environmental damage because of the need for energy to light things up, the way grass fields get torn up, and so on.

Gregory is studying, among other things, how stadiums make use of solar power and reclaimed water, plus how architects and engineers minimize the use of steel in construction.

For more about Greg and his project, reads this article from Lafayette College.
