Are Criegee Biradicals the Key To Solving Global Warming?

British and US scientists are reporting that they have discovered a molecule in the earth’s atmosphere that may hold the key to cooling down the earth’s temperature

The molecule in question is called a Criegee biradical. Scientists – led by one Rudolf Criegee – have hypothezied about its existence since the 1950s, but now they reportedly have confirmed its presence and believe that with further research they can show that Criegee biradicals can play in key role in cooling down the air.

These molecules reportedly have the ability to speed up the formation of nitrate and sulfate in the atmosphere. This leads to faster cloud formation, with the clouds having the potential to cool the planet.

Like most scientific discoveries, this one isn’t immediately going to change the world. But one
