Green Job Bank Website Has Thousands of Listings

While you’ve probably heard about job sites like Monster.com, did you know there’s a “green” jobs website? It’s called, appropriately enough, the “Green Job Bank.”

Whether you’re actively looking for a job, or just want to know what sorts of jobs are considered green jobs, you should take a look.

The Green Job Bank has thousands of listings in a variety of environmental industries. They are broken down not just by energy source (wind, solar, geothermal, etc.), but also by type of job (engineer, scientist, marketer, etc.), as well as by state and city.

Recently, Earth Preservers logged on to New York job listings and found, for example, an electric utility looking for a gas engineer, a nonprofit looking for a plant health care specialist, and a media firm looking for a “global agricultural geographer.”

In short, you may be surprised at just how many sorts of jobs are both green and available!
