ECO-FASHION & DESIGN

From the catwalks in New York and Paris to school auditoriums everywhere, a new fashion phenomenon is taking hold. Call it what you like – eco-fashion, recycled fashion, ethical fashion – it’s all about designing clothing that succeeds at recycling materials, conserving water, protecting endangered animal species, and more. And now the eco-craze is taking hold everywhere else, like in home, furniture and jewelry design. It’s a green, green, green, green life!

Would U Wear Clothing that’s Made from Green Tea Liquid???

Before you say no, remember that a jacket made from a soupy mix containing green tea is very environmentally-friendly.

We admit, it’s a bit of a stretch, even for the greenest fashionistas.

But you should know that fashion designers are up to all kinds of tricks in the ever-growing global movement toward green fashion.

As reported on EcoSalon.com, the green tea is mixed with sugar and bacteria and allowed to stand for several stays, during which time clumps and forms a kind of fabric that can be shaped into clothing.

Yeah, we know. That’s strange. But, hey, you never know what could turn up next on Hollywood’s red carpets.
