Lexus Gets Fashion Designers to Recycle its Car Parts

That includes car parts.

Car manufacturer Lexus, working with a number of noted fashion designers, proved that old car parts can enjoy new life on the runway.

One designer turned a transmission starter and an exhaust manifold gasket into crown fit for a queen.

Another turned valve lifters, crank bearings and hose clamps into bracelets.

A third turned floor mats and other items into a trench coat and shorts.

A fourth turned armrest leather trim and clear plastic tubing into high-heel shoes.
