Should Gwyneth Paltrow Apologize for Wasting Gasoline?

A couple of weeks ago we told you about the controversy that Will.i.am caused when he arrived at Oxford University in a carbon-belching helicopter. Ironically, the Black Eyed Peas singer was there to deliver a speech on the danger of global warming.

The incident caused Earth Preservers to ask: Should celebrities have to walk the walk as well as talk the talk? (Just scroll up this page to read the full story.)

Well, here we go again. This time it’s Gwyenth Paltow in the British media’s crosshairs for reportedly having demanded to be driven less than a mile to a restaurant. Other celebrities who went to the same dinner, such as Orlando Bloom, chose to walk.

Britain’s Daily Mail took Paltow to task for wasting gasoline even as she makes public service announcements asking others to protect the environment.

Was the criticism fair or did the newspaper go too far? What do you think?
